Hi! I'm Jen Hardy; Podcast Host, Author, Speaker, and Community Builder.

For a long time I felt like I couldn't fully be myself.
I was taught to sit quietly and "be good." So I did that - for 50+ years! Now I'm done. It's time to get out there, be myself, and enjoy my life to the fullest.

Are you with me?

Women Over 50...

Like me, you might have been taught that you were "too sensitive," "too outspoken," or any other "too." Or you may have had other experiences in your life, such as relationship failures, career challenges, and family responsibilities, which might have made you more cautious. (me too)

Or maybe you've been able to be your true self all your life, in which case I applaud you!!!

Age Is a Gift

We've reached a stage in our lives where we've got more control over our time, finances, and decisions. The kids are grown, or old enough to take care of themselves, and...

Honestly, most of us have realized this is it! We need to make the most of every day & just stop worrying about what everyone else thinks!! We can be ourselves.
Truly ourselves.

It's time to stop worrying about what everyone else thinks and be true to ourselves.

We can still do what we need to do, and live up to our responsibilities, but on our terms.

“What is it you want to change? Your hair, your face, your body? Why? For God is in love with all those things and he might weep when they are gone.”

TL;DR My last name is Hardy, which means: “robust, strong, and capable of enduring difficult conditions.”  I fulfill that name (& you do too!)

Long story short:

Hi, I’m Jen, and I’m the mom of 7, married to a veteran.  I’m the host of the “Fabulous Over 50”  and “Medical Gaslighting” podcasts. author, speaker, and I love building communities. I’m on a mission to help people take back their power, get creative, and tap into their inner wisdom. Join me on my journey and let’s explore a life of possibility!

And the longer version:

I’m Jen Hardy. I have 7 amazing kids age 11-33. We’ve homeschooled for 23 years, and have 8 left to go, I’ll have gone through high school seven times by the time they’re all through! Whew!! My husband Dave is an Army veteran, and he is the most wonderful, supportive man I’ve ever met! The younger kids live with us on a beautiful island on the East Coast of Florida where we enjoy surf school in the summer and lounging by the pool every day.

I was raised by an entrepreneur, and started helping with the family business at the age of 12. I knew one day I’d own my own business, and just started my third on Independence Day in 2022. I love to write, which is why I’ve published 4 books. I also love reading historical fiction, especially books by M.C. Beaton.

I have a rare disease called myasthenia gravis, and until I got it under control I struggled with my health. (It’s been good for 9 years now – whew!!) Back then I searched for help with how to parent, clean, etc. when I couldn’t get out of bed & couldn’t find it, so my husband suggested I create it. That’s when I started my first blog, Chronically Positive Mom. I had no idea what I was doing, but I was getting the information out there. I wrote a book called “The Sick Mom’s Guide to Having Fun Again” to share those positive ideas with more people.

Since then I’ve written three 5-year journals, and I feel better than ever!

I have a new outlook on everything & I LOVE my life! The great thing is that in working with moms with chronic illness, I learned how to get more done with less energy – something everyone can benefit from!

I’ve taken all I’ve learned from the struggles, and created some programs that are used in the fabulous groups for women offered here where we utilize what I’ve learned from my own experience as well as from other super-heroes of success.

Enough about me – what can I do for you?

“What is it you want to change? Your hair, your face, your body? Why? For God is in love with all those things and he might weep when they are gone.”

The truth about appearances:

We are FABULOUS – with makeup, without makeup, however we are! Some days, I’m better than others. I feel like I’m not being authentic if I don’t share the part that might look un-fabulous with you. So here it is…some days I just like to relax, put my sunglasses on & chill at the beach without worrying about anything but how many waves I’ll ride in!

Of course this is the "me" I want everyone to see! We all want to present ourselves as being perfect. But I believe that by only presenting the "perfect," we're not being entirely honest. So you'll mostly see this type of image, but I'll also get real sometimes. Friends are open, and we're friends now!

This was one of the most exciting days of my life...but look at that hideous book cover!! What we like can really change over time, can't it?

I look SO MUCH like my daughter here!

Last but not least...

A huge “THANK YOU” to my husband, Dave.

You are my knight in shining kevlar, & proof chivalry isn’t dead. You are the yin to my yang, the producer to my podcast, and the soulmate I’d searched for 40 years to find.

Thank you for being such a great father to our children. You make my heart smile, our lives better, and the world a better place.

I love you baby,

Jen

p.s. if you’re reading all of this and wondering about our 7 fabulous children, we’ve made a conscious decision not to put their pictures online, and their privacy is very important to us. We love them so very much!!
